SR43A, Buy a 2nd hand tank or fix??

Just bought my first bike in 5 years. Had them all GSXR, VFR vtec, TTR600, XT350, IT 175, Hornet 900 , RD350 F2,chicken chaser C90 , Express, Jawa ETC ETc, but this is my first DR.
Everything is spot on, even the pass light works, as do the indicators :D . My sole barrier twixt blat & TV is the tank is leaking under the mastic I found on both sides.
Now, I live in France where a bucket of air will cost 20€ if it is second hand, & for a Jock, this does pain me somewhat.
My son has found this product, apparently the dogs.... http://restom.net/home/134-restomsuperk ... 94643.html but it's gonna cost me the same price as a 2nd hand tank.. About 50 odd €uros
What to do, I defer to the forum to advise me, as they are expert and I am not.
S'il vous plait , aidez moi ,mes nouveaux amis.. Too soon?
( I would prefer a 2nd hand perfect cond tank obviously if anyone has one for a good price. PP, cheque , card, whatever.
Please contact with offers please.. I need to go for a spin along the NW France coast, from St Brieuc to Morlaix...

I doubt very much that you`ll find a spare 800 tank in the UK as we had someone looking recently without any luck.
New they are £998!! so you won`t be going down that route.
If you can find a good tank for £50 then snap it up as most of the few on sale go for a lot more
3 on German Ebay at silly money

Parts for these bikes are not cheap any more so you better get used to it :(

Nice to see the hand of friendship extending for about 20minutes after a first posting.
As it is nowt to do with you how long my replies, thanks and insults take, only that I have the decency to thank you for your kind wishes, advice and insults.
Thanks so much again, but some of us are not single, don't have a shed, and prefer servicing the missus. XX
Found a few in France, but never as described. They suddenly discover capitalism, and estate agent speak when one expresses an interest..
