Northern Ireland meet.

Postby dave#22 » Sun Jan 21, 2018 3:14 pm

There is a meeting at Six Towns, nr Draperstown at The Shepherds Rest pub over the weekend of 19-22 April...camping in the field behind.
it's a joint meeting for The Thumper Club, Royal Enfield owners club and the Irish Sidecar Club, but anyone's welcome.
We went last year and had a great time, so I've booked the ferry to go back again this year.
Dave.

Well, the event went well, 48 people turned up. We had a slight hitch though...as we were entering Belfast harbour my wife got a call from the care home where my mother is, saying that she wasn't too good and could she come over...so I took her to the airport and she flew home, leaving friend Martin and myself to soldier on.
We had a great time...we did the Wild Atlantic Way from the top of Donegal down to Sligo, the North Antrim Coast, Strangford Lough and lots of scenic roads in between covering over 1000 miles in the five days we were there and the weather was kind too  .
btw...my mother recovered and is back to her usual self.
