Im booked on the ferry from Portsmouth this Wednesday the 9th to Bilboa. Should make the Rally site Thursday evening. Will any site members on the spanish side be doing this rally? Or has anyone of the site been.? Unfortunately I will be on the triumph. The search for a Dr800 goes on. They are very thin on the ground at the moment

Easy to forget mot's.....lol

I hope to get a trip in this year but its a bit early to plan anything. I need to get a few months in first and see how things go. Got many things to achieve this year which have to take priority. Not sure if the drone stuff will bring a long run of work, but there is other stuff to do which is indirectly associated.

Have a good trip on the Triumph mate. Should be bit warmer there.

Nug, just to let you know, Chris isn't the only one going on a trip, I managed to secure a place in a container with a load of Triumphs going to the World Rally in NZ, so my Guzzi is presently on the high seas around Australia, arriving in Christchurch next week, then Pat & I fly out two weeks today to collect it and do a bit of touring, plus the Burt Munro Challenge is on next month, so I suppose we'll have to do that as well....should be fun.
All being well, we'll be back in March....and the bike in May.
Dave.

Sounds like a great tour that Dave. I no the Burt Munro story. But what's the Burt Munro challenge?. Who sorted your shipping out? My self and a mate are looking at getting our bikes shipped to Iceland in 2020. We tried James Cargo but they no longer ship to Iceland.

Hi Chris, I only found out about the TOC shipping their bikes to NZ by chance, from a friend who's a member, there was a space left, so I took it and at £640 rtn, it's a bargain.
I took the bike to the shipping agent in Cambridge...it was containerised with 17 Triumphs and a Laverda, then transported to Felixstowe, loaded, then shipped to Singapore to be reloaded onto a smaller ship to go to NZ.

The BURT...is like their version of our IOM Classic TT week..just a big bike meet.

If you get BIKE mag Feb 2019, there's an article on touring Iceland...not read it yet.
Dave.
