Hello from Dublin

Give us a clue - who are you?

Hello from Dublin

Postby Mick75 » Sat Sep 09, 2017 3:01 pm

On a whim a few months ago I bought a early DR 750, since then I've done the fork seals rebuilt the breaks with a braided hose rebuilt the carbs with new seals and jets and fitted a fuel filter (it didn't have one when I bought it, that took a while to figure out as I didn't know it was meant to have one, Doh) had the tanks shot blasted and painted as they were rusting underneath, hoping to get it road ready soon

Not many of those early ones in Survival Orange were sold back in 88, most of us bought the other option Violent Blue, though they seemed to be popular in Italy and France.
You can still get the original DRBIG tank emblems which will finish the paint job properly.
Phone Michelle at Robinsons on 01227454366 and mention my name. Part number you need is 68111-44B00- 2HU and she`ll do them for £8.90 each which is half price.
Welcome to the world of Big, there`s a few of you your side of the Irish Sea.

Thanks for that, when I bought it it had a Suzuki sticker on the tanks, is it meant to have the DR Big sticker, I've seen them with both, oh and above I meant to say it was missing the fuel pump, I got a SV650 one from a breakers and it works

If Robinsons can`t get them then they are not available in the UK or Japan.
Try here, they are showing them as being in stock https://www.cmsnl.com/suzuki-dr750s-198 ... ml#results
I bought a set from these people a few years ago so send them a message as I`m sure they can still do them https://www.ebay.fr/sch/brignon25/m.html
You could try here also http://www.ebay.de/itm/kit-adesivi-stic ... Swl9BWJPQ3
