This suka`s tricky

Postby calum » Tue Apr 15, 2014 1:28 pm

Hi Dr`s

My 750 starts runs and rides but will intermittently splurge then cut out and not start for a while. this will happen after 10 mins or 45 mins with no consistency, i have changed coils, cleaned carbs and have no luck. a friend who has a bit more know how than me thinks it is electrical. my key wont cut the power neither will my killswitch if thats any indicator. i also put on aftermarket rear indicators and light but seem fine. i have no idea where to get started any suggestions would be hugely appreciated.

Many thanks
calum

Look for a loose, frayed or broken brown wire at the back of the ignition switch.

Remove the Right side kill switch, take the switch apart and clean the contacts. Careful of small screws and springs. Then check the connectors on the wiring at the end of the Right side switch cluster where it joins the main wiring loom.

Even when the ignition switch works well, keep stopping the engine with the decomp lever.
