Questions regarding the DR750

Seat foam

Postby Barton » Mon Mar 30, 2015 6:44 pm

The seat foam on my 750 big is split, is this repairable if so what's best way or where can I get a new one, I've ordered a new seat cover but am keen to sort the foam prior to fitting?
Thanks in advance for any help, Barton

Would have been better if you had asked before buying a seat cover.
You can`t buy new foam.

Thanks a lot, not sure I'd want it higher though with my short legs

Those boots would be a bugger to ride in !

As Bob suggested, get the seat lowered. You could also wind the preload down on the shock which may help combined with slipping the forks up the yokes. Sometimes even an inch makes a difference....thats what the Wife told me anyway

I've now lowered the rear end and introduced a little sag into the suspension is it was wound up to its Max. Also dropped the forks through the yolks 20mm and certainly a bit better. Just off to get gym membership now to bulk up so I can handle her :P
