Questions regarding the DR750

Fork leg bushing

Postby ladder106 » Mon Apr 27, 2015 12:20 am

Has anyone found any lower fork leg bushings for the SR41/42.

Suzuki lists it as a "piston" in the fork diagram. Part No. 5112144B00.

Don't see it anywhere.

Going to try a bushing fro the 1990 DR 650. The fork leg diameter is the same and the two bikes use the same fork seal part number.

Fingers crossed.

51121-44B00 is still available in the UK @ £16.97, which is about 25 of your funny munny
The USA 1990 650 appears to have the same front end as the DR750 though the bush is part no 51121-26E00 which is the same as the Bandit 600/1200 95-00
I take it you are getting a clonk from the lower fork under braking?

Pulled them apart to replace a leaky right seal. Found the right leg lower bushing knackered with the left not far behind.

I know, Nug. Been planning this mod for far too long. Maybe it's time to push ahead.

I was hoping to just rebuild the standard legs for a while yet. Likely that's not in the cards. I have the DRZ legs and triples already here.

Thanks for the motivation.

Bob......

Can you direct me to a website or real place that still has those. Tried Robinsons with no luck.

Any help appreciated.
