The welds on mine are fine too, though they are about 3 years old.

Mine are a year old and welds are nice and solid.

I think I got a Friday afternoon set, some of the welds are a bit lumpy with a small bit of splatter, no where near bad enough to need to grind and re-weld, maybe I'm being too picky because I learned to weld properly as a apprentice
