An opinion from a brash Yank:

If you really like the "draggin' my arse on the rear tire" look.....just buy Triumphs version.

I don`t know what the latest trend is in California, but there seems to be a brat/bobber craze sweeping Europe at the moment which essentially consists of throwing away as many parts as you can so as to look "minimalist and cool" and then charge three times as much money for it. Not for me

It's the same here.

That combined with fitting the largest section TKC 80 possible on both front and read thereby also calling it a "scrambler" even though the bike will never see dirt or even gravel.

I guess if the Harley guys will ride thousands of miles with their hands above their heads in order to look cool, then running around with a wet strip up your backside would also fit.

The one that never fails to make me laugh over here is when a for sale ad lists the bike as a "streetfighter" ...... the real meaning of which is "I crashed all the body work off my race-replica and am too cheap/inept to replace it"

No accounting for taste I guess.
