Have you tried SKF for the bearing ? Bike looks great in blue 'n' white by the way !

I take it your talking about the bearing that Koyo only make under licence for Suzuki? I can't remember if it is thicker of thinner but it's about 1mm different to the standard fitted the opposite side. I was considering packing or boring deeper when I did my bike up but wanted to keep it original.

Hey Graham/Nug, pannier racks are indeed the Polish ones on ebay. If you search I did a thread on installing them.
Nug, yeah the brakes work really well on the blue and Daves bike. Combined with the intiminators they bring the front end into the same league as modern tackle imo. I pair it up to one of those kwaker 250r parallel twin things master cylinder which is from my investigations 12.7mm. The company who makes this set up recommend a 12mm master as optimal but the above has a brake switch and mirror perch and 12.7 is ample, I wouldn't want more braking tbh.

This one was 25 quid off a couple yr old machine.

Any works being undertaken at the moment yourself Nug?

Works so well:)

Oily metal, or is it metally oil

Image
Drilled the holes bigger. Don't want the damper rod doing any damping, just the intiminators please.

Springs were within spec at 562mm length. Service limit is 553mm.

The lowers sprayed up well after being stripped.
