they do but if you're cheap grind the jaw down on oldies, they do have a half moon ground into the opposite jaw to encircle the link pin but it's not much of an advantage

nice to have though

Cheers I just read that about using the link with a clip on the 520 chain, I have seen those available on ebay I think I will go for one of them rather than the rivet link as easier to put on and remove and not possible to overtighten. :tup:

GrahamW - I just fitted one to my KLR 650 (DID X-Ring 520 chain)...you still have to push the plate on the pins with a chain tool type device. It's a pretty tight fit. Before you can slide the master clip link into place. I used a pair of molegrips and a bit of metal but I wish i had a chain tool :) Good luck!

I have a chain tool so that is handy. I miss my old KLR 650 I spent alot of money on mine and in the end got fed up with it and sold it I had trouble with with water getting into the oil.
