Got plenty more done this afternoon and then did some cleaning first with paraffin on and old sock and then a bit of a wash avoiding the left side of the motor as still have not fixed and fitted that rotor cover.

Nice looking bike and assume they are WP Extreme forks?

Yep WP Extreme forks, Excel Rims and Talon Hubs, everything is in nice condition and cleaning up well. I just hope everything will be ok with the engine now.

My bike can now turn over using the starter motor. :)

Next is to check for sparks and then try some petrol in it. Should cold cranking be enough to get the oil pumping to the head, I cranked it for a bit with the rear inspection cover off but I didn't see any oil spraying about. I put over 3 liters in as per the manual said you should after having the engine apart. BTW I repaired that broken wire by soldering in a new bit and pulling it through the hole in the grommet, I used some heat shrink I had.

Edit - sorry I linked the wrong youtube video.

Lots of spickily little sparks when I hold the plugs against the rocker cover as well so that's a good sign. If this was shed an buried they would be happy with it so far.

I am not sure about that Koso digital dash I would prefer a couple of nice gauges but it will have to do, I am just glad it seems to still work after 8 years in the shed even though it does a few odd things when I crank the engine but I think that's just the voltage drop of trying to turn everything over.
