The vin plate on a 43 should be on a plate on the l/h side of the headstock not on the right.
The frame on a 43 has lots of lugs etc in different places to the 41 and the subframes are different
That means none of the 43 bodywork would fit on a 41
From dodgy looking welding around the headstock I`d suggest that someone has welded a kosher headstock from a 41 onto a stolen 43
Not much you can do about it now really

I'm thinking it could be a crash damage repair before it left the father land. Anyway I'm stuck with it so I will make the best of it.
Iv just ordered 2 replacement bolts for the bottom of the forks. The 2 that hold the damping rods. £20 from fowlers. And they said there is no discount Bob. Or have I got the wrong place

I would never deal with useless Fowlups ever.
Michelle at Robinsons is who you need to talk to.
You`ll need an air gun to whizz out those bolts or the special holder tool if not.

Don't no why I thought you said Fowlers Bob. I got the bolts out with my air gun. But the heads are looking well past there best so best to replace them.
