DR 800 wheels what fits what SR42

Postby Philh61 » Thu Aug 24, 2017 6:08 pm

Hi I have a SR42 -1990 Dr 800. My front hub has 4 disc bolt holes. What wheels fit this bike as my wheels are shot. Does the later DR 800 rear wheel fit my model year? What other model front wheels fit?

If anyone can help I would be grateful

Same as a SR41, have some spares. 43 wheels fit with adaptation of spacers and brake caliper.

The 89 750SK rear wheel is identical, though the 88 750SJ is not. You can also use any of the later 800 wheels 91-97, though the hub will be silver not black.
As for the front, only the 88 750SJ, 89 750SK and the 90 800SL are the same.
The later 800 had a six stud hub with a bigger disc.

Hey Bob,
I thought the 88 sj's front hub was different to all others?
I recall trying to source that hideous double row non sealed bearing for it and gave up. Had to spend 40 odd on it from our little yellow friends.

You are indeed correct that this model had the stupidly expensive bearing. The wheel will still fit an 800SL though.
