Never mind the 100+hp, how the dr frame and swinger handles 207nm of instant torque is impressive.

I dread to think what will happen to the drive chain when the suspension compresses.
The drive sprocket on the motor is far too high...if that's the only place they could fit the motor, they should have fitted a primary drive to position the drive sprocket near the swingarm pivot....apart from that...looking good.
Dave.

I thought the same as you initially Dave. If you look closely, the motor is mounted to the swing arm so the chain tension is constant. Looks pants though.

Funny coincidence that....I'm just collecting parts to convert an American style bicycle to electric power....all Chinese made parts I'm afraid Bob :shh: .
Also a few of us with RWD single speed/2 speed mopeds are looking into a FWD setup to assist on the hills. Another member is looking at putting a hub motor into a FWD (friction drive) Velosolex.
All good fun.

I wonder how that feels with a 40lb. motor sitting on the swingarm. It's inboard enough not to move too much but there would still be quite a bit of inertia to overcome.

If this is the future, I'm not impressed.

I like some of the electric creations but am opposed to before forced to drive electric vehicles, I have V8 engines all over the place...I can't give those up. Planet will self destruct with or without them. All the vegetarians who make the rules will fart us into extinction.

My brother in law made an electric bike which I had the opportunity to test ride at Xmas ( after a few beers  ) went like a bloody rocket! had a rear hub motor and a bit more power than legally allowed I think? I tried to convince him to fit a front hub motor as well....
