sprocket bolts

Postby GrahamW » Wed May 22, 2019 12:14 pm

Hi I seem to have lost the bolts for my front sprocket and the bolts that hold the retainer on over the output shaft seal. I can only assume I wrecked them taking them off originally.

Does anyone know the the spec for these, I am assuming they will be high tensile hex head and quite short?

The seal retainer bolts need not be high tensile as they are just there to hold it in place and are M6 X 10.
The sprocket bolts are strange shouldered items that are M6 X 13, part no 09111-06039 @ £7.25 each!
I use M6 x 16 stainless Allens with s/steel spring washers, and never had a problem.

Cheers for the advice there Bob!

My big was just running I couldn't believe how easy it started was only turning the engine over checking a slight leak from the carbs I think the t junction maybe. Anyway bang it stated up and was running with high tickover I ran to get my phone to take a video and saw a bit of smoke starting so hit the kill switch!

It was like a black smoke seemed to be coming from under the seat but not sure, will try again but think I would prefer a fire extinguisher handy.

I did clean the exhaust downpipe with kerosene the other day as it was rusty maybe it was residue from that.
