What part are you surprised about ?? The XT has a more modern feel but the big can do 99% of the same stuff .

Yeah id have thought there would have been a bigger gap between the yam and the big tbh. Goes to show what a good design remains a good design

So really you could say that the XT is better thanks to the modernity of its design ?
I cant remember if your BIG is a 750 or 800 Spen. I would say that my 750 is probably the smoothest single I have had but yet the 800 is probably the most vibey I ever had.
Given the choice between a new XT & a BIG, i would choose the BIG & spend some cash on it to get it nice as the XT is pretty pricey compared to when it was first released. Mind you, the XT is a good used buy if its been looked after so I reckon that is the way to go for anybody after one .

My Big is the first of the 800"s .Just in after a 60 mile spin with my young lad on the back  . the XT has a more modern feel but as i said the BIG does what a big single should ,pulls well, handles fine and stops fine . .The XT would eat it off road but then i don"t off road that much.
