brake .. compatibility

Postby flyben » Sun Nov 22, 2015 6:49 pm

Hello

for a SR41 the front brake is "dead" ...

I'm looking to adapt some other part than suzuki
which front brake will pass ?
which caliper could do the job ? i think of a 2 pistons floating caliper
I think i'll try to adapt some ktm adventure (640) part ..

what about it ??

No other caliper will fit straight on.
Why not rebuild your caliper with new seals etc?

I think i'll have to rebuild the caliper, the master cylinder .. and the front disk is also dead

I have a braided hose in stock but I was used to a cast iron floating on a nissin caliper which was very progressive, effective and reliable on the elefant .. I think , as i've got everything to change, i would be a good time to find a full good setup

Hi all,

Thought I would bring this thread back to life.. I've been looking around the forum with mixed reviews of modified brake set-ups and swapping to the bandit m/c etc. I have opted for the standard set up but I have rebuilt the calliper, and mastercylinder and got a hell braided hose. I also have Hell the length of the reinforced brake hose sleeve for their data base so they now include this on the part (for the dr750) if anyone wants to order one!

My question is, the lever on the standard set up seems strangely close to the bar even when fully bled, so I am wondering if anyone has found an adjustable reach lever that fits the standard m/c for the dr750?

BIgBob I think I saw a post of your where you mentioned using one but I'm struggling to find something as I'm not sure what cross over models the mission master cylinder has on other bikes.

Thanks in advance!
