Camchain collapsed on riding .Engine stalled what to expect

Postby oded » Tue Jul 03, 2018 6:51 pm

I knew its about to end but not so quick.

What am i going to see when open the head ?

Are the valves doomed for sure?
Is the piston pierced ?

Or maybe i have chance to avoid the whole mess?

Thanks.

Oded.

Best thing is to just take it apart and face your fears. It may be ok other than bent valves?

When it happened to me it was 4 bent valves and a broken camblade.
4 new valves, camchain tensioner and gaskets come to lots of $$$$$.
Replace the valve stem oil seals while you have it apart

I was trying to think of a daft comment about your valves Spen...can't really muster one up though as not in the right frame of mind

I have a motor that I can break for parts if you need anyting more than Spen's valves.

Post some pictures of the strip down and any damage you find.
