DIY workshop press

Postby Nick65 » Sun Sep 16, 2018 5:52 pm

If you've got an old weights bench kicking about why not make something more useful like this bearing press.

The bottle jack was bought at a car boot for a fiver. The springs were £12 and the Labour was free. Total outlay...about £17.00!!

I kind of copied what's on the market but fixed the driving pin mount onto ball bearing sliders so it drives perfectly straight. They were off and old sliding top cabinet I threw out a while ago.

Just used it the drive out the carrier bearing. Next, suspension!!
