I'd say at 2k it was certainly being bought to restore.
Were they any good? Any unforgivable weak points mechanically engine wise?

I had the DR400 (SP370 the model before) , exactly the same as this, only 400cc. Cool bike in its day. I don't think the 500cc was a uk model.

Nope, for some odd reason we never got the 500. Europe only. Seems a lot of money for one needing restoration.>>>

Hi,
The DR400 I had (early) st Model. Very tough motor awful 6v lights, and rusty tank that would often pin hole leak at the base near the seat. Model survived for two years only.....for a reason! I believe the DR500 was a slightly better bet.
